Mama Elephant Christmas Ornament

Hope everyone had a wonderful, safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Used the City Sidewalks stamp set Mama Elephant City Sidewalks Clear Stamp to create a shaker ornament.  Used copic markers, gold wink of stella on windows, a little white opal liquid pearls for snow, then shook clear glitter on top.  Background was done with faded jeans distress ink, stamped tress on top using forest moss distress ink, then added stars and pearls from my stash.

I put a piece of acetate along with a layer of five circles over the background, then used dimensional tape to pop up building on top of this layer; glued ribbon for hanging.  Then added 10 layers of circles, glitter, acetate and another layer of circles.  To finish, used some foil paper to cut out circle and glue on top.

Then I hung it from the tree!

Wycinanka Chipboard: Merry Christmas

Happy Monday everyone! It's Rosie here today to share my latest card for 7 Kids College Fund. Before I get to my card, I wanted to remind you that you still have time to enter our current ANYTHING GOES Challenge right here on the Challenge Blog. Just click on the Challenge post on the right side bar and link up your card for a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids College Fund Store!! You can use any stamp you have...easy peasy!

I decided to do something different and make a glittery card only using the Wycinanka Chipboard shapes. The outer circle is called the Wycinanka Elegance Bohemian Circle Frame. When I first saw this frame, I pictured a wreath....so using markers, glue, and glitter I turned it into one.I don't see the Merry Christmas Ornament in the store anymore, but you could use the Wycinanka Very Merry Christmas Text instead. My decorative paper is from Authentique

Decorated DVD holder for Stocking Stuffer

I hope all of you crafty people in the U.S. enjoyed the Thanksgiving Holiday?

Today's project is a decorated DVD holder.  I've burned some family video that was taken throughout the year to share as stocking stuffers for some relatives we don't get to visit with often throughout the year as a way they can share in the special moments with us.

The Little stamp is from 7 Kids College Fund in the Gorjuss section, called " The Lost Heart".  She's just the sweetest little girl with her teddy bear!  These girls are DARLING!   And so easy to color up and you won't be able to resist the price either!   Under $3.00!!

Some of the die work is the Gilded Doily, Majestic Square.  The papers are from Gorjuss and these pads come with cut out frames, corners and some perfect circles for sentiments as I used here.  Simply coordinated for that perfect look!

There are still a few weeks to join the Challenge and the opportunity to win $20 to the store where you can get one of these cutie pies yourself so join us!

Holiday Gift giving project!

Good Sunday to you!  Tammy Louise with you on the 7 Kids blog today!  The Holidays are approaching so quickly that I'm loosing track of the time!  I've got to get going on my card making and gifts! Money holders are the perfect gift for the season!  A bit of homemade, a bit of gifting!

Today I got crafty with some great design paper, dies, chipboard and illustrations from 7 Kids College Fund store to make a super simple gift card project.  I distressed the chipboard bird house then put some Wink of Stella on it for a glossy look.

The Peaceful Dove Edge was cut and distressed as well.  Placed in the center with pop dots for some lift and dimension then spatter brushed with Snowtex for texture.

The illustration was water colored with distress ink too!  The Weatheredwood color was perfect for the tree on the image as well as the die cut and it brought in a great color tone with the reds from the paper!  By the way, I embossed the paper with the Majestic embossing folder and sanded it down for that softening and mellowed out look of age.

The inside of the card, I used the smaller center piece of the Majestic Frame Die set to give it contrast and design to the pocket for the gift.

There's still time to join the November Anything Goes-Christmas challenge where you too could be the winner of a $20.00 gift certificate to the store!

7 Kids College Fund INGREDIENTS:
Memory Box Yuletide DP

The filmstrip, snow baby and the sentiment are all part of the paper design. This Pion paper makes a gorgeous card with or without embellishments.

The die cuts I chose were Prima Doily, Cheery Lynn Flourish and Susan Wilson. I added Prima flowers, pearls a small pearl brochure, ribbon and chipboard. To create my snow effect I used Frontage and fine white glitter.

Peace Hope Love and JOY!

Happy Sunday! There's a new monthly challenge on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog

The theme is: ANYTHING GOES CHRISTMAS

My card features this adorable winter filled scene of little forest critters!  The stamp is called Savior Window and it leaves me with such a wonder filled heart!  I just LOVE it, and 7 Kids College Fund has great SALE prices on the Art Impressions line!   Stamped on Cryogen paper and colored with my Copics. I added some of the Neat and Tangled tiny little sequins to the tree with bulbs on it to add some color to the project and it turned out to be just enough color.
 INGREDIENTS:
Gilded Doily Die

The large blue frame around my card was made using LDRS Creative Majestic Frame Die. I cut the nested die too from the image paper to pop up the scene. My papers are from Authentique. A bit of Ranger Distress Faded Jeans around the edges and the scene moved right into the card colors!  The Gilded Oval was die cut then split in half and shared up onto each side of the focal point for added texture and color.

MEDIUMS:
Faded Jeans Distress Ink
Copic ink B00,B02,04,05, C00,1,3

EMBELLISHMENTS:
WOC flowers
RRR Thread
Ivory Liquid Pearls

Penny Black and Ranger alcohol ink ombré cards.

Hello and happy Friday!
Kerry here, I'm sharing a couple of cool cards using Ranger alcohol inks!
If you don't know me, I love colors!  So, when I saw the new release of the Ranger alcohol inks.
I was in love with them.  And of course, I need to get them, hehe!

Here is my card using the Ranger alcohol ink Beach Duo set and Penny Black Skyward stamp.

In order to create the ombré effect.  I started by using Yupo paper, then by using a blending tool and apply the alcohol ink on the Yupo paper and blended with blending solution.  Then I stamped this gorgeous Penny Black Skyward stamp by using Ranger Archival jet black ink pad

Since I had so much fun creating my first card.  I decided to create another one using
some wintery colors (Alcohol ink:  Cloudy Blue, Sail Boat Blue, Demin).

Here is a picture of both of the cards!

Goodies from the 7 Kids College Fund store:

Ranger Archival ink Jet Black
Tim Holtz Alcohol ink (Beach Deco set)
Ranger blending tool
Ranger blending solution
Penny Black Skyward cling stamps
